The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board will be hosting a series of one-day market outreach and educational sessions focusing on the rapidly evolving 529 college savings plan market.

•       The Washington forum will bring together market participants from the state plans, primary distributors, investment managers, regulators and others to discuss marketplace structure, practices, trends and investor protection issues.

•       The regional seminars in Boston, Chicago and San Francisco will focus on MSRB compliance issues relevant to broker-dealers that market 529 college savings plans, particularly selling dealers.

These sessions will provide an opportunity to hear from and ask questions of panels of experts in the 529 college savings plan market and in broker-dealer regulatory issues applicable in this market.
