MSRB IMPROVES SEARCH FUNCTIONALITY ON EMMA®
Washington, DC – In its ongoing efforts to ensure a productive user experience and availability of municipal market data and information, the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board (MSRB) today announced that it has enhanced the search functionality on its Electronic Municipal Market Access (EMMA®) website.
“As the central source for municipal bond market information, we want to ensure market participants are able to utilize EMMA to its full capabilities,” said MSRB President and CEO Lynnette Kelly. “The improved search functionality on EMMA will reduce the time it takes for users to access the data and disclosures they are seeking.”
Based on feedback from market participants about ways to improve searching on the EMMA website, the MSRB has implemented a new algorithm that allows for predictive searching. Users can start typing the name of a state or local government, abbreviations or common acronyms in the Quick Search box on EMMA’s home page to see predictive results in a dropdown menu. Users can still search by 6-, 8- or 9-digit CUSIP® number. Explore the EMMA website today.
The MSRB will host a free virtual webinar on June 13, 2019, about EMMA’s new smart search. The webinar will explain details about using EMMA’s Quick Search, as well as explore the detailed search filters available in Advanced Search and learn about tailored searches to cull through millions of continuing disclosure documents and municipal securities trades.
